ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Samantha Armetta, and I'm from West Islip, New York. I recently graduated from Syracuse University, majoring in Communication and Rhetorical Studies with a double minor in Public Communications Studies and Marketing. I was a member of the Renée Crown University Honors Program and at the end of my senior year I completed my senior thesis in CRS. A hallmark of my senior year was being selected as a 2021-2022 Remembrance Scholar, which was the most impactful and fulfilling role I'd ever undertaken in my academic career.

Being a part of clubs and extracurriculars on campus was the best part of my college career. Last year, I served as the Historian for Phi Sigma Pi, the national honor fraternity on campus where I was a brother for almost three years. Additionally, I volunteered as a peer advisor for my home college for three years where I counseled incoming first-year students through their first year on campus. Each of these commitments has brought me immense gratitude as it's here that I've learned the importance of community, leadership, and responsibility.

As an aspiring professional, I am eager to learn more about the marketing and advertising industries. I recently was a strategy intern for Tierney, a full-service advertising agency in Philadelphia, where I learned the essentials of strategic planning and consumer research. Building upon my prior knowledge as a strategy intern for Palisades Media Group, I was able to gather data to help the strategy team develop well-informed strategic plans for clients like PECO, CenterX, Xfinity, Veterans United, and countless others. Learning to meet the unique needs of every client and accurately understand their brand taught me the importance of creativity and uniqueness while teaching me the importance of organization and thinking quickly on your feet.

My love for the hustle and bustle of working at an agency, particularly in entertainment, has led me to my new role as an Assistant Strategist in Business Solutions at Horizon Media in NYC. In this role, I work with our client, Paramount+, to assist the team in account management, strategic planning, and internal relationship management.

Overall, I would describe myself as an attentive and self-motivated individual who likes to pay attention to detail. Moreover, as a natural-born go-getter, I am confident in the creative ideas and successful solutions I can bring to the table.
